How to Transfer a Domain Without Losing SEO Rankings

Making any changes regarding the domain requires notifying Google regarding the switches that are intended to be made. For faster indexing, plug the domain into the “Change of Address” option on Google Search Console.

This update tells Google that there is a new address associated with the website, which helps reduce the chances of receiving unpleasant ranking changes.

Step 6: Track Statistics After the Move

Once the changes are made, keep track of the new website’s position and traffic trends closely using Google Analytics and the Search Console.

If there is an abrupt dip in ranking, check for issues with indexing or redirects. Solving them in a timely manner will ensure retention of optimal SEO authority.
